Who is Cool Dave?

Cool Dave is the performing alias of David Fields, a recording artist, song writer, DJ, and actor known for his inspirational lyrics, Cool personality, faith, variety of style, and nice smile. He made his imprint with his Billboard charting single HomeTown followed by the universally appealing hit Moving On. Strongly influenced by a variety of music and entertainment legends like Bob Marley, Toby Mac, Denzel Washington, and many more, his style is very raw but humble and inviting, creating a unique sound blending hip-hop, gospel, country, and soul.

“I grew up inspired by the entertainment world with dreams of one day being the inspiration. Going through life’s struggles such as losing an athletic scholarship and becoming a young father buried in mistakes, motivated me to use my talents to create a better life for myself and my family. Even though life was weighing heavy, I felt I always managed to keep it cool even in the worst situations, with an understanding that my life is in God’s hands, so my performance name and style just came naturally.

I have also been able to develop a career as an actor. I landed my first lead role in Showtime Productions hit stage play and movie “Collateral Damage” with Film Directors Johnny Sizemore and Kerrick Geer. You can catch the stage play on YouTube and the movie on Tubi. Also providing opportunities for me to act on National TV shows such as Oxygen Channels “Snapped”, TV One’s “Fatal Attraction”, “For my Man” and more. We just recently premiered the hit stage play “What Lies Beneath” in front of a sold-out crowd at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.” Since it has reached over 200,000 views on YouTube and still growing.
